TODI

According to a local legend, the town was built by the inhabitants of the Tiber River Valley however historians claim that Todi was constructed by the Etruscans in the 1st Century BC and was later conquered by the Romans. In the Middle Ages the town became a fortified castle and was dominated by alternating powerful feudal families.

The ancient Roman Cisterns may be viewed along with a number of churches, temples, fountains plus several town squares and the gates to this walled hilltop town.
