Booking Terms and Conditions
How to Book
1. Confirm availability by telephone or email.
2. Submit your contact details and a list of guest names by email.
Your completed booking form will be emailed to you outlining your payment options.
3. Submit your deposit within 7 days.
Upon receipt of your deposit, you will be forwarded an official
booking confirmation along with directions to your rental property.
Payments
Deposit
A deposit is required to secure your booking. This payment is due within 7 days from the date of your tentative booking. The amount of your deposit depends upon the property being booked and ranges from 25 – 50% of the rental rate. The exact amount will be detailed in booking correspondence.
For Cooking Classes, Catering or Weddings, a deposit of 25% is required to confirm your booking. This amount is non-refundable.
For all Catering for a total value greater than € 1,000, a further non-refundable payment of 25% is requested 6 weeks prior to the event. A reminder will be sent to you in advance.
Balance of Payment
The balance of any rental amount is normally due before the day of arrival at the vacation property. In some cases, cash is due upon arrival. See below for payment options.
For Cooking Classes, Catering or Weddings, the balance is due in cash on or before the day of the event, or can be paid in advance. See below for payment options.
Late payments
We regret that if payments are late, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and follow the refund procedures outlined below in the section regarding cancellation.
How to make your payments
Payments can be made by bank transfer or personal cheque drawn in Euros. For an additional 4% fee, you may also pay by credit card through PayPal. New Zealand and Australian bank account holders may make direct deposits to a local bank.
All fees associated with making payment for your booking are your responsibility.
Payment method and Account details will be arranged at the time of booking.
All amounts are payable in Euros.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is required upon arrival at the rental property. This is payable in cash and will be returned in cash at the end of your stay, less any costs incurred for breakages upon departure. For European guests, a cheque may be given as deposit.
Limitations
Listed rates are subject to change; the effective rate will be confirmed when a booking request is made.
Please note that use of rental accommodations and their facilities are entirely at the user's risk.
No Smoking - We ask that guests do not smoke inside the accommodations.
Arrival and Departure
We kindly request that guests arrive no earlier than the identified check in time, and depart promptly at the end of their stay. Arrival and departure times will be clearly stated in your booking confirmation.
Pets
Pets are not allowed.
Cancellation
If you must rearrange your schedule or holiday details, we will do what we can to accommodate you. However, the following rules apply:
Holiday Rentals
- If you cancel more than 8 weeks before your arrival, and we manage to find another tenant, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid, less any transfer charges.
- If you cancel less than 8 weeks before your arrival, and we manage to find another tenant, we will return to you 80% of your payment, less any transfer charges.
- However, if we fail to find another tenant for the period of your cancelled holiday, we will be unable to return any monies paid by you.
Catering, Cooking Classes, Wedding Plans
- We regret that your 25% deposit is not refundable as the booking prohibits us from accepting other bookings.
- If you have paid the full amount and you provide 6 weeks notice of cancellation, we will return to you 75% of your payment, less any transfer charges.
